Word of Life supports ministries, churches, schools and orphanages locally and around the world. Please contact Pastor Mike Dragan at email@example.com for information on current and upcoming opportunities to reach others.
Some of the Local ministries we are involved with are:
Ridgeview Youth Detention Center
Weekly outreach to nearly 300 young men 13 -19 years old incarcerated there. This is the last chance for many of these young men to get their lives on track before they would go into the adult prison population. Our men are in charge of leading in weekly Bible study and prayer on Tuesday nights. This ministry is open to both men and women.
Roger Smith goes to the DRDC facility twice a month to preach the Gospel to the men incarcerated there. Please contact Roger if you’re interested in joining him.
Joy House Women’s Shelter
Laura Martinez and her team of ladies have been ministering at this battered women’s shelter for several years. The women have been very receptive and appreciative of our ministry to them. Besides preaching the volunteers have ministered to the ladies through hair and nail services as well.
Thanksgiving & Angel Tree Outreaches
Annually we are ministering to over 200 needy families in the Lincoln Park area of downtown Denver at Thanksgiving and more than 500 children and their families through the Angel Tree program at Christmas. These outreaches allow our entire congregation to be involved in reaching out to needy and hurting families, by delivering food, gifts and bringing hope and the Word of God to them.
WOLCC supports a number of ministries internationally on a monthly and by need basis. Some of the countries we are currently active in include: Haiti, Mexico, Ghana, Nigeria, and Albania. We also organize missions trips to locations around the world on a yearly basis. Our most current trip will be to Albania in November of 2011. This will include ministry in villages, a food outreach, medical outreach and crusade in a sports arena.
